The unique packages are valved so offer easy opening; pouring; re-closing and are spill proof.  Additionally, these are substantial cost savings to be made and being totally recyclable thus help the environment. The Redmond E-Z Open™ Pouch

The all-plastic Redmond E-Z Open™ pouch opens instantly when its flap is turned up.  It represents a significant breakthrough in pouch design and turns using pouches from a messy annoyance to a neat little act.

• Cost including printing runs about one third to one half that of the foil based pouches depending on barrier requirements.
• Size range is virtually unlimited.
• E-Z Open™ pouches weigh in at about 50% that of foil based pouches.
• a truly unique feature of the E-Z Open™ pouches is that the contents flow rate may be accurately controlled even with very low viscosity liquid such as alcohol, solvents, witch hazel, soy sauce etc.
• The valving system can prevent leakage or spill after the pouch is opened.
• Partially used packages may be stored for subsequent use, under refrigeration if necessary.
• Flow controlled E-Z Open™ pouches are ideal for liquors and alcohol-based drinks for commercial, personal and consumer use, by eliminating the need for the very costly individual 50 ml bottles served on airline flights.  They yield absolute inventory and drink size control for bar service and are made from PVDC (saran) coated polyester which is government approved for alcoholic beverages.  Projected material cost will be under 1 cent for the 50 ml size.
• Use for non-food products such as laundry detergents to offer the homemaker cost savings and ease of use/storage/handling. Since the large plastic containers of detergent weigh in at over 8 oz. of plastic and 32 x 3 oz. E-Z Open™ pouches only require 2 to 3 oz. of plastic the environmental and cost benefits are major and shipping and handling costs plummet.  Profits can rise and still allow price reduction and convenience to the consumer.
• Use for liquid medications requiring dose control - nothing could be simpler than having an E-Z Open™ pouch containing the dose (1 teaspoon, 10 mls., 1 tablespoon etc.) which may be directly squeezed and sucked into the mouth (ideal for small children).

E-Z Open™ pouches can be manufactured on Redmond developed vertical form-fill-seal pouch machines.

CREAM-EAZE™

The Sanford Redmond easy-to-use liquid coffee creamer. (Notice of allowance received for US patent, world rights reserved) Cream-eaze™ , opens instantly by simply bending a tab upward, this creates a valved outlet through which the cream flows in a controlled stream when package is gently squeezed.

Cream-eaze™ are truly user friendly even for travellers in moving vehicles as well as the elderly, the arthritic and the handicapped. Valved creamers cannot be spilled and are drip free. The lid is not peeled off eliminating the costly foil/plastic/adhesive lidding currently used.

Net cost of rectangular Cream-eaze™ materials will run well under one third that of current creamers while yielding significant environmental benefits in that they utilize less than 1/3 the plastic.

Cream-eaze™ can be produced, collated and automatically loaded into shipping cartons at 1080 units per minute on the revolutionary Redmond, 10 ft. overall length ‘SuperStar™’ machine.

dispenSRpak II™

The Redmond dispenSRpak II is a portion package not unlike the Cream-eaze™ in appearance. Its significant difference lies in the valving thus allowing it to be used for containing and dispensing a broad range of flowable products.  Its benefits include those listed below:

• /3 the cost of peel top cups
• To open simply snap the operating corner back
• Point and squeeze for controlled dispensing
• Handles large particles
• Sizes 5 gm’s to 4 oz’s
• Contents may be dispensed directly into mouth – chocolate – creams – yogurt etc.

‘SNAPPIES’™ Swabs

The Redmond ‘SNAPPIES’™ swabs are far and away the lowest cost, easiest to use swabs for medical, industrial, cosmetic, personal and art use ever devised. They can be made in a variety of sizes, shapes and configurations from low cost elementary design to more costly high end design units for cosmetic use.

 

Material cost in the simplest version containing povidone iodine for medical antisepsis can run less than 1¢. Some other specific uses include cosmetic lotions and cleansers, surface treatments with dyes, paints, coatings, stains, solvents, artists’ tints, photographic chemicals etc.
